Everybody is aware how the Quick-Step Floors riders came into the sport or what are their biggest results to date, but few or none know what movies and music they enjoy, or where they like to spend their holidays. Here's your chance to find out all these.
Favourite movies: The "Fast and Furious" series. I've seen all the movies and I can't wait for the next one to be launched in two years. I like the combination of adrenaline, breathtaking cars and relentless and spectacular action.
Favourite TV series: I like a lot "The Mentalist", because it's much more than meets the eye and I enjoy watching how he plays all kinds of mind games, spots details and solves cases. It's like a modern Sherlock Holmes, but with something extra, all those psi abilities he has.
Hobbies: I have two dogs and I like to walk them whenever I'm home. You can't imagine how relaxing it is to just go out in the nature, free your mind and enjoy the simple things.
Best moment as an amateur: When I broke the world record in individual pursuit. That was amazing, a truly stunning day I will never forget. I was on the track and not on the road, but I think many people got to notice then what I'm capable of, and that result gave me a huge boost of confidence as I began forging my career.
Races I'd like to win: To come out on top of a Tour de France stage would be something amazing, but it's not the only race I dream of winning. I know you need to work hard and give everything in order to succeed, and I'm ready to do that to win one of the Ardennes Classics, which are among the most beautiful races in the world. Of course, I must discover these races first and gain invaluable experience which comes with each participation, but I hope that as the years will pass, I'll get to the top of the podium there.
