A key and selfless player for Quick-Step Floors at the Tour de France, where he helped Quick-Step Floors take four stage victories, the 36-year-old was forced to abandon the race on Tuesday evening, after picking up an injury following a crash on the descent of Col de Portet-d'Aspet.

Unfortunately, the knee fracture will keep Philippe off the bike for a few weeks and out of competition for at least six weeks, but despite this setback, our rider kept his optimism and vowed to return stronger.
