Deceuninck – Quick-Step’s CEO visited on Friday the headquarters of our partner Deceuninck, where he was surprised to be awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by Unizo.
Patrick Lefevere was warmly welcomed at the Deceuninck offices in Hooglede, where he met staff and colleagues with whom the team – winner of the UCI World Team Classification in 2019 – has developed a close working relationship with during they very successful first year of our partnership together. He was then honoured with the award from Unizo, a conglomerate made up of over 110 000 entrepreneurs, recognising his lifetime of work in cycling in Flanders and Brussels.
Speaking of the award, Patrick Lefevere said: “It was a great surprise for me to receive this award from Unizo and I am truly honoured. I started following the sport as a fan of cycling and have been very lucky to be involved in something that I have loved all my life. It is a passion of mine, so to have it recognised in this way is very special.”
