Discover our seven riders for the 17th edition of the Belgian race.

Held annually since 2001 and elevated to 1.1 status on the UCI calendar in 2016, Dwars door het Hageland is one of the most exciting non-World Tour one-day races on the calendar, its combination of cobbles and short climbs providing plenty of spectacle each year. This should be the case again on Saturday, when the riders will line out in Aarschot for a 180km hilly trek to Diest, where an uphill finish will await.

Alvaro Hodeg, Iljo Keisse, GP Vermarc Sport winner Florian Sénéchal, Stijn Steels, neo-pro Jannik Steimle, Zdenek Stybar and Bert Van Lerberghe will all be part of Deceuninck – Quick-Step’s team for our first race on Belgian soil since Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, at the beginning of March, when Kasper Asgreen soloed to victory.

“Hageland is always a demanding race, which can kick into gear long before the finish. We are going there with a team comprising many riders suited to this race, some of them making their first outing since February or March. We did a recon of the course a couple of weeks ago, we know what awaits us and we hope to get a good result on Saturday”, said sports director Wilfried Peeters.
