Today was almost the teams first win of the year, with Gerald doing a great ride sprinting in for 2nd place. The start of the stage was pretty full on again as the road went straight uphill. Not the nicest of starts, but I suppose we cant have too much fun out here in Australia. The finish climb with about 25km to go was where the stage was really decided though, and with a few of the riders up on GC not making the front group, hopefully it's looking good for a overall result by the end of the race for us.

However it seems not everybody over here is enjoying the race, because as we were driving back to the hotel, a news report on the radio had said the fire service had been called into action earlier in the day, to clear drawing pins off a section of road, obviously somebody trying to sabotage the race.

Also I don't think the owner of the 4x4 will park their car on the outside of a corner again when coming out to watch the race. As when the race started to heat up before the climb, the AG2R rider in front of me ran out of road and went straight into the back of it, myself luckily avoiding the first crash of the year.

So tomorrow is when the race should be decided, with a race up the hill everybody is talking about, Willunga.

Hopefully I will wake up with climbers legs in the morning.
