At the end of September, Deceuninck – Quick-Step auctioned a unique Tarmac SL7 frame with the support of Specialized.

The special frame is made from left raw carbon and with a superb hand-drawn texture, instead of paint. The final touch is the #ItStartsWithUs sustainability manifesto mirrored in chrome, forcing the person looking at the design to reflect on themselves and remember that they too play a role in the fight to save our planet.

This great initiative raised 7500 euro for the #ItStartsWithUs environmental project in Bretagne, France and is an additional initiative in the framework of the company’s commitment towards the climate. With this money, trees will be planted during the beginning of 2022 in the region where the Tour de France had its Grand Départ this year. CO2 logic experts will make this possible and will follow up on the execution part of the project. The whole Deceuninck – Quick-Step Team is committed to the climate and this project is a step to give back to the environment and become CO2 neutral.

Antoine Geerinckx, founder of CO2 logic, was extremely proud with the result of the auction: “It’s fantastic to see world athletes and companies give back to global issues such as climate change. CO2logic and the Centre National de la Propriété Forestière (CNPF) are very thankful for the support.”

After the success of this auction, more initiatives will follow in the near future. Until then, Deceuninck – Quick-Step and its partners want to thank everyone for the support shown to this project.
