Biography of Pauline

Hailing from the West Flemish part of Belgium, Pauline is one of the newest members of the team, which she joined after graduating last summer as a Sports Journalist. Passionate about languages and possessing a contagious sense of humour, she always tries to seize the day and enjoy every single moment in life, no matter how simple or small it may be.

Pauline – the daughter of ex-pro Peter Farazijn, whose career stretched over 15 years during which he won Grand Prix de Wallonie and raced a total of 10 Grand Tours – fell in love with the sport from a young age and since then she never left the magical world of cycling, which she names as her biggest passion. Every year, Pauline counts the days left until the start of the Belgian Classics, when thousands and thousands of people take to the roadside, creating an incredible atmosphere, full of excitement and tension.

What’s the thing she loves most about cycling? “That everyone is so close to the riders. During the 2018 Tour de France, I went to the cobblestone stage which ended in Roubaix. Next to me was a Colombian family, with a very old man, who was sitting in a chair on this very warm day, waiting to see a glimpse of the riders. That was very inspiring. Now I am part of this world and incredibly happy and grateful for this chance. As long as you work hard, everything is possible and I’m ready for this new chapter in my life with Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl.”
