Six weeks from the conclusion of the season, the team managed by Patrick Lefevere broke its 2014 tally courtesy of Bob Jungels' win in the Tour de Slovaquie prologue.

Quick-Step Floors' stellar season continued on Wednesday afternoon, in the small town of Poprad, where Luxembourg Champion Bob Jungels took the 1.6km-long Tour de Slovaquie prologue by storm, improving Yves Lampaert's time for fractions of a second and claiming a victory that will go in the squad's history books as a milestone one, as it helped the current World Tour team classification leader break its previous record of 61 wins, set at the end of the 2014 season.

This remarkable journey began in January, at the Tour Down Under, and since then has witnessed 62 triumphs (half of which came on the World Tour – in Classics, week-long stages races and all three Grand Tours) netted by 13 riders in 17 different countries on five continents, a testimony of the team's fantastic depth and unique strive for continuous success and excellence.

Patrick Lefevere, Quick-Step Floors' CEO, was a happy man and had words of praise for all those involved in this extraordinary accomplishment: "Winning 62 races in a season and breaking our all-time record feels amazing, a very special and emotional moment. Congratulations are in order to everybody – riders, soigneurs, mechanics, sponsors and partners! We are a big family and every single individual has played an important role in achieving this record. The best part is that the season is far from being over and we still have plenty of opportunities to continue showing the Wolfpack spirit and add to this outstanding tally."
