Sixth best time for Luxembourg Champion on the penultimate day of the race.

The BinckBank Tour scheduled on Saturday the shortest individual time trial in eight years, on a flat 8.4km-long out-and-back course in Den Haag, containing just a few technical corners, which didn’t play an important role in the outcome.

Bob Jungels was among the riders who rolled down the ramp in the first hour, and despite the poor weather conditions (strong wind which made things more complicated for the early starters), the 27-year-old turned out a decent time trial, stopping the clock in 9:32 after averaging close to 53km/h and slotting into sixth place. In the general classification, 2013 winner Zdenek Stybar remained the best-placed Deceuninck – Quick-Step rider, just a few seconds outside the top 10.

With 13 hills – including the iconic Bosberg and Muur-Kapelmuur, set to be tackled several times – spread over the relentless course between St. Pieters and Geraardsbergen, stage 7 of the BinckBank Tour will ensure a process of attrition and set in stone the overall standings.
