Deceuninck – Quick-Step’s Belgian – who lies second in the general classification ahead of the last stage before the first rest day – remained upbeat despite conceding a couple of seconds on Campo Felice, the second summit finish of the Giro d’Italia, which featured gravel roads and some steep gradients.
