Josef's biography

One of the handful of Czech riders to have won a Giro d’Italia stage, Josef turned pro in 2013, and has since claimed several victories: the 2018 National Road Race Championships, as well as his nation’s time trial title in 2018 and 2020. His wins against the clock are backed up by having twice been the equivalent U23 Champion, in addition to the Czech Cycling Tour four years ago – results that talk about his abilities and strengths.

What are his expectations for 2021? “I am super happy that I have the chance to ride with the Wolfpack. Last year has been a difficult one for everyone and I am excited to have now joined one of the best teams in the peloton. I think I can add to the squad’s famous lead-out train, as well as working hard on the front when needed, and I have also shown that I can take my own results when I have good legs, so bring it on!
